General Rules 1. Standard Rules: All standard badminton rules and court/line rules will be followed unless specifically modified by the tournament rules. 2. Point System: 11 points 3 sets until League stage. 21 points 3 sets for Quarter, Semis and Finals. 3. Bye Rules: Instagram 4. Shuttle: MAVIS 200i shuttles are to be used till the Quarter Finals and MAVIS 350 shuttles to be used for Semis and Finals. Shuttle replacement during a match will be at the discretion of the umpire/referee. 5. Footwear: Players are recommended to wear non-marking sports shoes. Players without non-marking shoes may play barefoot or in socks, subject to the venue's safety regulations. 6. Rackets: All participants must bring their own rackets. If players are sharing rackets with teammates/friends, they must ensure that a racket is available before their match begins. 7. Attire: Wear comfortable sports attire. 8. Equipment: Only shuttles will be provided by the organizing committee. 9. Reporting Time: Players/teams must report to the tournament venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled event/match. 10. Late Arrival & Walkover: A maximum grace period of 10 minutes from the scheduled match time will be allowed. A 3-point deduction may be applied if a player/team arrives 5 minutes late. After 10 minutes, the player/team may be declared a walkover/disqualified at the discretion of the referee. 11. Warm-Up: Players will be provided with a 3-minute warm-up period before their match. Players are expected to complete their warm-up within the time allocated by the umpire. 12. Injuries & First Aid: First-aid assistance will be available throughout the tournament. Players must inform the umpire/referee of any injury or physical condition that may affect their ability to continue playing. 13. Player Conduct: Players are expected to maintain respectful and sportsmanlike conduct towards opponents, umpires, referees, volunteers, organizers and other participants. Abusive language, threatening behavior, deliberate damage to equipment or inappropriate conduct may result in a warning, penalty, match forfeiture or disqualification. 14. Misconduct Towards Officials: Any player/team found guilty of serious misconduct, abusive behavior or threatening behavior towards an umpire, referee or tournament official may be disqualified immediately. 15. Protests & Disputes: Any protest or concern regarding a match must be raised with the umpire/referee immediately during the match or before leaving the court. Protests raised after the match has concluded may not be considered. 16. Rule Clarifications: In case of any doubt regarding the rules, players should approach the umpire, referee or organizing committee for clarification. 17. Final Decision: In case of any dispute, the referee's decision shall be final and binding. 18. Draws: Match draws will be conducted randomly to ensure a fair and unbiased distribution of players/teams. 19. Change of Rules: The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the tournament rules, match format or schedule if required due to operational, technical, venue or other unforeseen circumstances. Any such changes will be communicated to the participants. 20. Punctuality & Cooperation: Players are requested to remain available near the designated playing area and cooperate with the organizers to ensure that matches are conducted according to schedule. 21. Sportsmanship: Players are expected to respect their opponents, accept umpire decisions and maintain the spirit of fair play throughout the tournament. 22. Enjoy the Tournament: Most importantly, enjoy the tournament, compete fairly and connect with your fellow participants.
